Cash Back Offers - FAQ

What are Cash Back Offers?

Cash Back Offers allow you to earn cash back as statement credits when shopping at participating brands—both in-store and online. Simply activate offers in the Prosper Card app or website before making your purchase.

 

Who is eligible to participate in Cash Back Offers?

To participate in Cash Back Offers, you must:

  • Have an active Prosper Card account
  • Your account must be and remain in good standing to continue earning and receiving statement credits.  

 

How do I enroll in Cash Back Offers? 

Log in to your Prosper account, click the “cash back” tab and click “Let’s Go” when prompted to enroll. Once enrolled, you will be able to browse and activate offers.


 

Is there a cost to participate in the new Cash Back Offers?

No, participation is completely free.


 

How do I earn cash back? 

Earning cash back is as easy as these three steps: 

  1. Activate an offer in the Cash Back tab before shopping. See below for detailed information on how to activate an offer.
  2. Make a qualifying purchase with your Prosper Card at the participating merchant, and 
  3. Receive your statement credit within 5-7 business days (some offers may take up to 30 days). 


 

How do I activate an offer?

  1. Login to your Prosper Account 
  2. Go to the Cash Back tab
  3. Browse available offers and click + to add them to your card
  4. Review the offer terms and expiration date
  5. Make your qualifying purchase before the offer expires

Important: Offers must be activated before making your purchase. Purchases made before activation will not qualify.


 

How do I see my activated offers?

  • Login to your Prosper Account 
  • Go to the Cash Back tab
    • App: Select the Clock icon in the upper right corner
    • Web/ Mobile: See the Ready for Use section at the top of the Cash Back tab


 

How do I redeem a Cash Back offer?

Statement credits are automatically applied to your account after a qualifying purchase is made with your Prosper Card. Please refer to each Cash Back offer for instructions on how to earn cash back. Offers must be activated before making your purchase. Purchases made before activation will not qualify for cash back. 


 

How do I know if my purchase qualifies?

Each offer includes specific Terms & Conditions. Always review the offer details before making your purchase, as common requirements include:

  • Minimum purchase amounts
  • Eligible products or categories
  • Purchase location (online vs. in-store)
  • Expiration date

     

When are new Cash Back Offers added?

New offers are added regularly. Check back often for new offers in the Cash Back tab and keep an eye out for our Cash Back Offers emails.


 

How long will it take for my statement credit to be posted?

In most cases, statement credits will be awarded within 5 to 7 business days of the qualifying purchase, but in some cases can take up to 30 days.


 

Does the Cash Back statement credit count towards my minimum payment due?

No, Cash Back statement credits reduce your account balance, but do not satisfy your minimum payment requirement. You must still make your minimum payment by the due date to keep your account in good standing.


 

Can I use the same offer multiple times?

Yes! Offers can be used multiple times. After using an offer, simply reactivate it in the Cash Back tab to use it again.


 

Note: Check the offer's Terms & Conditions for any usage limits or time restrictions between redemptions.


 

Is there a limit to how many offers I can activate?

No, you can activate as many offers as you'd like at the same time. To view the offers you’ve already activated: 

  • App: Select the Clock icon in the upper right corner
  • Web/ Mobile: See the Ready for Use section at the top of the Cash Back tab


 

Is there a limit on how much cash back I can earn?

No, there is no limit on the total amount of cash back you can earn through the program. However, individual offers may have their own maximum cash back amounts. Check each offer's Terms & Conditions for details.


 

What happens to my activated offers if my account status changes?

If your account is no longer in good standing (for example: past due, overlimit, closed, or in bankruptcy), you will not be eligible to earn or receive cash back on activated offers, even if they were activated before your account status changed. To maintain eligibility, keep your account current and in good standing.


 

What happens if I return or cancel a purchase after receiving cash back?

If you return or cancel a purchase for which you received a statement credit, the cash back may be reversed and charged back to your account.


 

Why haven’t I received my statement credit yet?

Statement credits typically post within 5-7 business days but can take up to 30 days, depending on the merchant. Your statement credit may not have posted yet if:

  • It hasn't been 5-7 business days since your qualifying purchase
  • Your transaction is still pending with the merchant
  • Some merchants require up to 30 days to process credits
  • Your purchase didn't meet the offer requirements (check Terms & Conditions)
  • The offer wasn't activated before your purchase
  • Your account status has changed

If it's been more than 30 days and you believe you met all offer requirements, please contact Customer Service so we can research your transaction.
